Le challenge

Urna is a Swiss brand of personalised funeral urns, where each piece is designed to reflect the uniqueness of the person being honoured. The challenge was to create realistic 3D models for each urn with its multiple colour and marble finish variants — then to integrate an augmented reality experience allowing families to visualise the chosen urn in their environment.

Notre solution

We modelled the entire Urna range in 3D using Blender, with extreme attention paid to noble materials: Black Marquina marble, Travertino Classico, Emperador Dark, and numerous colour variants. Each model was exported in USDZ and glTF formats for universal AR compatibility. The experience was integrated into the WordPress/WooCommerce e-commerce site, with a configurator allowing colour and finish to be chosen in real time. An immersive video was also produced to present the collection.

## The project Urna is a Swiss brand offering personalised funeral urns, where each piece is a bespoke masterpiece designed to pay tribute to the uniqueness of the departed. The urns are crafted from noble materials — metal and marble — and available in numerous colour and finish variants. ## Our work ### 3D modelling of the complete range Each urn in the Urna collection was modelled in 3D using Blender with extreme care given to material realism. The textures of Black Marquina marble, Travertino Classico, Emperador Dark and other finishes were reproduced faithfully to offer a visual representation identical to the real product. The models were produced in all available variants, allowing families to visualise every colour and marble combination. ### Augmented reality experience The AR integration allows site visitors to visualise the chosen urn at actual size in their environment from their smartphone. The models are exported in USDZ (Apple AR Quick Look) and glTF formats for iOS and Android compatibility, with no app to install. ### Configurator and e-commerce integration An interactive configurator was integrated into the WooCommerce site, allowing the colour and marble finish to be chosen in real time before placing an order. The immersive presentation video showcases the artisanal quality of each piece.
